BIOGRAPHY

Robert Crabtree is a multi instrumentalist and has been working as a professional musician for over forty  years in the Chattanooga, TN area. Robert moved to Chattanooga in 1975 to study at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga where he obtained his music degree while working with the finest musicians in the area. Robert has worked at many varied venues, from flatbed trucks, riverboats and parking garages to the finest club venues and the famous  Tivoli's stage. From solo performances to the Chattanooga Symphony, his work has taken him around the world and has performed and recorded with such notables as Wayne Newton, Cy Coleman, George Beverly Shay, Bill Watrous, Jerry Coker, Suzanne Somers, Phil Driscoll, The Ringling Brothers. Shows include "The Wiz", "Icecapades", "Cats",  and many others. Robert also coordinates with many musicians to provide entertainment services for corporate events, weddings, private parties and social events. Currently, he can be found performing at local venues from time to time with his favorite jazz combo of piano, bass and drums. Robert’s repertoire consists of many “jazz standards” and may also include selections from today’s contemporary music. The trio’s musical style can be best described as energetic with elements of swing and Latin rhythms, interlaced with free interludes… No two performances are the same!
